Patrick de Pádua foi o designer escolhido nesta edição da plataforma Sangue Novo para participar no FASHIONCLASH Festival, que decorrerá em Maastricht (Holanda), entre 11 e 14 de Junho.
No âmbito da parceria estabelecida entre a ModaLisboa e o festival holandês, em cada edição da plataforma Sangue Novo, um jovem designer será escolhido para apresentar no FASHIONCLASH. Patrick de Pádua junta-se assim a Inês Duvale, que foi seleccionada em Outubro de 2014.
"Eu estava à procura de um designer cuja história fosse consistente ao longo da colecção e a do Patrick evidenciava uma certa paixão", refere Branko Popović, director-criativo do festival.
"Na minha mente estava também o facto de que o designer seleccionado ia preencher a última vaga do festival. Houve vários designers de que gostei muito, mas não é possível comparar, por isso foi uma questão de no momento sentir que a colecção do Patrick era a que eu deveria escolher para o FASHIONCLASH Festival.
Nesta sua segunda participação na ModaLisboa, Patrick de Pádua apresentou "Promises", uma colecção cujo ponto de partida "foi o conceito de promessa e tudo o que ele engloba: no
início, a sensação de segurança e depois, quando é quebrada, a ideia da
frustração e do sufoco."

Patrick de Pádua was selected among all the Sangue Novo designers to present at the FASHIONCLASH Festival, that will take place in Maastricht (The Netherlands), between June 11th-14th.
Thanks to a partnership between the two events, every season a finalist of the Sangue Novo platform will be invited to present at the Dutch festival. Patrick de Pádua will join Inês Duvale, who was selected in the last edition of ModaLisboa, in October 2014.
"What I was looking for was a designer with a story that was consistent throughout the collection and Patrick's had a certain passion behind it", states Branko Popović, Creative Director of the festival.
"I
was also having in mind that he was getting the final spot in our
fashion show programme and therefore I thought that his collection was
going to work well at our festival. There
where several designers that I really liked but they are
not comparable at all so it was a matter of moment that Patrick's
collection felt like the one to choose for FASHIONCLASH Festival."
In his second participation at Sangue Novo, Patrick de Pádua presented "Promises", a collection whose starting point "was the concept of promise and everything it encompasses – in the
beginning, the feeling of security and then, when the promise is broken, the
idea of frustration and suffocation."
