O britânico James White venceu a terceira edição do Porto Fashion Show - European Young Designers Contest.

O concurso reúne três jovens designers de cada uma das seis escolas europeias que integram o prémio: MODATEX (Portugal), IED Madrid (Espanha), ESMOD Berlin (Alemanha), Accademia Koefia (Itália), Atelier Chardon Savard (França) e Falmouth University (Reino Unido).

James White juntou os 5.000 do prémio de vencedor final aos 3.000 atribuídos ao vencedor de cada país. Silvia Suarez Arranz (Espanha), Julia Fraile (França), Milla Lintilla (Alemanha), Giuseppe Perri (Itália) e Carla Pontes (Portugal) foram os restantes vencedores nacionais.

British designer James White won the third edition of Porto Fashion Show - European Young Designers Contest.

The constest gathers three young fashion designers from six different fashion schools around Europe: MODATEX (Portugal), IED Madrid (Spain), ESMOD Berlin (Germany), Accademia Koefia (Italy), Atelier Chardon Savard (France) and Falmouth University (United Kingdom).

James White was awarded a final prize of 8.000 euros, as he was the overall and the national winner. Each national winner was awarded 3.000 euros: Silvia Suarez Arranz (Spain), Julia Fraile (France), Milla Lintilla (Germany), Giuseppe Perri (Italy) and Carla Pontes (Portugal).

Passaram seis minutos desde que o desfile acabou. Como é que te sentes?

Satisfeita! Estou muito contente! As peças vestiram como eu imaginava, a make-up ficou linda, os cabelos ficaram incríveis... Estou muito satisfeita!

 

Qual é o conceito da colecção?

Esta colecção chama-se "Leaf" e baseia-se na ideia de uma folha envolver o corpo quando é dobrada. A colecção partiu muito também da ideia de nascer, germinar, de começar a crescer, de florescer...

Eu apercebi-me de que no meu processo de criação o momento de florescimento acontece na parte de modelação... Por isso é que modelei cada peça, cada coordenado como se fossem folhas e pétalas que envolvem e cobrem as pessoas.

O que vais fazer a seguir?

Relaxar um bocadinho... Encontrar-me com os meus amigos que estão lá fora e me vieram apoiar e dar-lhes um grande abraço porque eu passo muito tempo sem os ver e, nesta altura, sabe bem ter esse apoio e esse carinho.

Your show ended six minutes ago. How do you feel?

Satisfied! I'm very happy! Pieces fitted exactly as I imagined, the make-up come out beautiful, hair was incredible... I am very happy!

What's the concept of this collection?

This collection is called "Leaf" and is based on the idea of a lead that covers the human body when folded. It is also related to the ideas of birth, germination, growth and bloom.

I realized that in my process I bloom during the pattern making... That's why each piece and each outfit are thought as leafs or petals that wrap people up, and cover them.

What will you do next?

Relax a little bit... Then I'll meet my friends who came to support me and are waiting outside. I really want to hug them because I spend do much time without getting to see them that it feels good to have their support and love.
